I tried the Babycakes NYC recipe for lemon poppy seed teacake and it turned out so well. Problem…used a pan that was too small and it overflowed a little, otherwise it turned out beautifully.

Babycakes NYC is a gluten free/vegan/kosher/nut free bakery that made my jaw drop in May when I visited. Such tasty stuff! Their cookbook is amazing and an essential for anyone who is gluten free or wheat free. Everything bakes up well and Erin Mckenna is so clear. I was just at the Los Angeles location and must say that as much as I liked the cupcakes – the donuts were out of this world.
If you can – try the donuts, there’s nothing like them out there…anywhere!
I tried them this past weekend. Out of sight. So good.
